Christmas Beverages
OLD FASHIONED EGGNOG
| 6 eggs | 1 tsp. vanilla |
| 3/4 c. superfine sugar | 1 c. whipping cream |
| 1/4 tsp. salt | 1/2 to 3/4 c. rum (optional) |
| 3 c. milk, divided | nutmeg |
In medium bowl, beat together eggs, sugar and salt. In medium saucepan, heat 2 cups milk over medium-low heat just until hot. Slowly whisk milk into egg mixture. Return egg-milk mixture to saucepan,. Cook mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, about 15 to 20 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining milk and vanilla. Transfer to clean bowl; cover and refrigerate overnight. Just before serving, beat whipping cream until soft peaks form. Transfer eggnog to punch bowl. With wire whisk, stir in rum, then fold in whipped cream. Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg if desired. Makes about 6 cups.

CHRISTMAS PARTY PUNCH
2 liter bottle or ginger ale
2 liter bottle of black cherry soda
1 16oz. can frozen lemonade
Mix together and add ice. Serves 15

OUR FAVORITE PUNCH
| 2 cans frozen lemonade | 1 2 liter bottle of ginger ale |
| 1 can orange juice | 1/2 gallon orange sherbert |
| 3 juice cans of water |
Mix all ingredients except the sherbert. When ready to serve, scoop the sherbert on top.
