EGG CARTON CANDY CUPS
MATERIALS
cups from paper egg carton
poster paint and paint brush
construction paper, feathers, beads for decorations
small styrofoam balls for heads
scraps of flat cardboard or poster board
scotch tape, scissors and glue
INSTRUCTIONS
Cut the cup shapes from the egg carton. You will need two for each candy cup. Cut arms and a round base from the cardboard or poster paint. Paint the cups, arms and base with poster paint. Use colors according to what your candy cup is going to be like red if it is Santa or white for a snowman. When the paint is dry, glue the bottom of one cup to the base, let it dry. Then attach the top cup, (upside down) with a piece of scotch tape for a hinge, now it is like a little box that you can open and close. Make a face on the styrofoam ball with construction paper scraps, you can make a hat from construction paper and glue it to the head if you want to. Glue the head to the top of the little box. Glue the arms to the side of the box. Now put candy inside the box. These would be nice favors for a party or gifts for your friends.
LIGHT BULB SANTA
MATERIALS
burned out light bulb
vinegar
poster paint and brush
red construction paper
cotton balls
INSTRUCTIONS
Dip the light bulb in vinegar, so that the paint will stick to it. Stand it in a cup to dry. When it is dry, paint it pink for Santa's face; let it dry. Paint on eyes and eyebrows, glue on a cotton beard and red construction paper hat and nose. Glue piece of cotton to the top of the hat.
