CANA

CANA [KAY nuh] (Place of Reeds) a village of Galilee where Jesus performed his first miracle - turning water into wine (John 2:1, 11). Cana was the home of Nathanael, one of the Twelve (John 21:2). Its probable location, Khar Kanna, is about 8 miles northeast of Nazareth.

And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there.
This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed upon him.

There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.
