Yad Vashem - Holocaust Museum

The Hall of Remembrance

The Holocaust memorial of Yad Vashem includes a historical museum, the valley of lost communities, a sculpture garden, the exhibit in memory of the millions of murdered children, and somber halls that recall the horror of the Nazi regime. The Hall of Remembrance or "Ohel Yizkor" is where memorial services are held. The room contains an eternal flame, as well as the names of Nazi death camps. At the entrance to the children's memorial is a statue of orphans being held by Dr. Janusz Korczak the polish Jewish educator who valiantly tried to save them.
