STATEMENT OF AIMS
- To offer rehabilitation for brain- injured people using hyperbaric oxygen, nutritional and physical
programmes.
- To instigate an ongoing research and development programme to treat affected individuals. This will serve
to underpin evidence from Russia, China and the USA, clearly indicating improvement in brain-injured
patients after use of one or more of the above therapies.
- To provide facilities for the above, allowing support for parents and carers, as well as meeting the needs of
the brain-injured persons.

GENERAL INFORMATION
HBO sessions are of one hour duration at the recommended pressure of 1.75 atmospheres. The treatment is
entirely safe over this relatively short period and has no side effects other than a possible slight discomfort in the
ears during the build-up of the pressure.
An initial consultation session will be held with each patient in order to determine the best course of action and
combination of treatment therapies. It will always be HOT's policy to keep the costs of treatment to a minimum.
HOT has three medical advisors (two from the UK and one from the USA), all of whom have extensive experience
of HBO treatment. In addition, we will have available at our main centre in East Grinstead a Russian doctor with
many years experience of amino acid treatment. Others with experience in the use of simple physical and cognitive
programmes will be used to complement the main treatments.
