Starring: Toby & Topsy.
About a few years back Skippy had given birth to two cute little pups. They were born in a store room by the church. I was the first to find the two little ones. I quickly ran of in search of Becky, my sister, and soon found her. I told her about the pups and she soon started to follow me to the store room where the puppies lay fast asleep. We had to leave them there because we had to attend Sunday School. After Sunday School, we went to the store room and found the puppies sound asleep. Then we called Mom and Dad to come and see. I asked Mom whether I could take both puppies home. She said 'no'.  Two weeks later, the pups were already running here, there and everywhere. We named them...... (Can you guess?). That's it, Toby & Topsy. They were so furry and cuter than when they were pups. They never gave us any trouble at all. When they were having a bath they would not wriggle (well not like other non-trained dogs). They would just sit there like statues. One day, Skippy (the Pups' Mom) disappeared. We searched high and low for her but just could not find a single clue towards her mysterious disappearance. We believe that she ran for cover because of the storm and had lost her way. So, we were left with Toby and Topsy, but I will never forget Skippy.  The week after, both had become much more mischievous. Topsy was not that mischievous but when it came to hunting, she was the first one to catch a squirrel, a rat or even a cat. She always caught her prey (except when we were around to prevent her). A few months later, Topsy's leg had been run over by goodness knows what. The vet told us that it was just a minor fracture. She was up and about in three weeks. By the month after, Toby had disappeared, and was soon spotted in town. A glass piece had also stabbed him in one of his paw-pads. However the worst thing happened to Topsy; her tail had been cut. The vet told us that he had to cut part of the tail off. My father agreed. After her operation, Topsy looked kind of funny with a short tail. Nobody knows what actually happened to Topsy's tail .
