Scott's Spears ~Team Racer & Team Mechanic for Waveline Motorsports
Early January 1997 I picked up a salvaged title Honda Hawk with 13,000 miles. With several changes, but keeping it stock, it became my first road racing bike. Teaming up with Paul Neilsen and his Honda Ascot that I also built we formed Waveline Motorsports. March of 1997 we both made it to Willow Springs Raceway to begin our road racing together.
Now in 1998, I am now also building another Honda Ascot for myself to ride. This one will be bigger and badder than the first with a custom painted frame and tank. I am also building a 1996 YZF 600 for the Supersport class and the Formula 40 class. (Yes, Paul does fall within the guidelines of Formula '40' class) Be watching for pictures of these two soon....
I have also made some cosmetic changes to my Hawk this year and now considering motor changes! More horsepower!!
We also have added another teammate to Waveline Motorsports, Erik Halseth, an EXer. Whom is also known as our 'black sheep' of the team.
