As a parent, I am always looking for more books to entice my child to read. I have found that most "recommended" lists all seem to have the same books and the lists never tell you why the books are recommended. I love books that are fun to read aloud, that have fun facts, and that match my child's interests and curiosities. The books listed below are ones that we own at home and that we read over and over.
