Project Linus
Delivering Comfort to Memphis Children
Providing Security through blankets…
The Memphis Area Chapter of Project Linus would like to ask that all who sew, knit, crochet, or quilt to consider making a handmade security blanket for a sick child in the Memphis area or for a chapter in your area. Project Linus is a national organization. To find a chapter that is near you, visit our national Project Linus web site linked below for more information.
Ruffles, Cars, Cows, Stars, Flowers, or Stripes
Blankets for Project Linus may be any size from a receiving blanket to a twin-sized quilt, but must be washable. Blankets for boys and girls of all ages are needed as well as knitted or crocheted preemie-sized caps for local area neo-natal intensive care units.
This site is still under construction. I eventually plan to include blanket ideas, patterns, a newsletter, and, someday, photos of the beautiful work our blanketeers have donated. I would also like to include links for children's charities, volunteers, and children's book reviews. If you would like to donate a blanket or if you have blanket ideas that you would like to share, then please email me at the address below.
