"Dr. Frank T. Van Woert was former Dean and founder of the Dental School of Columbia University; 71 years old; inventor of the color photography process for oral surgery which bears his name; he and his son Dr. Clarence Van Woert carried on a private practice at 21 East 40th Street, Manhattan."

The Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery offers a scholarship in the name of Dr. Frank Van Woert. Following is a note I found on the Columbia University Financial Aid Webpage in reference to the scholarship:
“The Van Woert Award recognizes the student at the end of the third year with the highest academic achievement. The award is over $1,000. “
