We all remember Mother Teresa and her
selfless dedication to show care and
concern. What motivates people like
her to go out of their way to help others?
Is it really help? We will try to explore
these in this page.




Example of Care & concern
Gandi's Act of Kindness
As Gandi stepped aboard a train one day,
one of his sandals slipped off and landed on
the track. As the train was moving, he was
unable to retrieve it. So Gandi calmly took off
his other sandals and threw it back it back along
the track close to the first sandal.When asked why
he did it, Gandhi smiled and replied:
    "The poor man who finds the sandals on the
    track will now have a pair that he can wear."
Gandhi's example was cited as one of the simple,
daily acts of kindness Singaporeans could emulate
as part of the Small Kindness Movement to encourage
Singaporeans to be caring and considerate.



Some ways you can show Care & Concern;
A. Caring for the Class and Campus
1. Take care of fellow classmates
*Listen to one another's problems and find ways to help.
*Ring up the absentees to find out how they are and how to help.

2. Take Care of Campus Facilities
*Keep the toilet, classroom and other facilities clean
  and free from vandalism.
*Return canteen crockery to keep canteen clean and pest-free



B. Caring for Community
1. Embark on Community Project.
*Help out in a children's home, or an old folks' home.
*Raise funds for charities(e.g. sell flags).
*Donate to charities(e.g. cash, hampers, old clothes).

2. Show Acts of Kindness Daily.
*Give up your seat in the bus for someone who needs it more.
*Move to the rear of the bus to make room for others.
*Talk to a lonely or an elderly person.



C. Caring for the Family
1.Speak Loving Words
*Inform parents of your whereabouts.
 *Have a heart-to-heart talk with parents.

2. Do Loving Deeds.
*Volunteer to tidy up and wash up.
*Celebrate birthdays of family members.
*Help coach your younger siblings.



D. Caring for Yourself
1. Take Care of Your Body
*Cut off bad habits that damage health.
*Have sufficients rest.
*Look smart in your dressing and hairstyle.

2. Take Care of Your Mind and Emotions.
*Avoid depraved movies and books.
*Balance work, play and social life.
*Have good friends and confide in them.
