A better name for this website would be "The Jake, Murphy, Rudy & Taylor Page" but we couldn't think of a clever way to name it, so...
Here are the latest additions to the household.
The Dalmation is Murphy and the Border Collie is Jake.
The picture with the two of them together was taken at about 3 months old. The two "solo" shots were taken when they were about 8 weeks old.
They are now 6 months old and still very much puppies - but much more active !
These are pictures we took last weekend at a "secret" place on the Blanco river. Dana and I found it one day while hiking around - it is a perfect place* for the dogs to run and swim - nobody is ever there and it is at least a half-mile away from any roads. Here, Murphy really, really wants to jump in, but she is a little afraid.
* perfect except for the rattlesnake we encountered on the way back out to the car...
Here, Jake shows his diving prowess - what a dog! All of the dogs will swim and retrieve sticks - but Jake takes the game of fetch just a little further than the average dog <g>. Not that any of our dogs are average.
Murphy and Jake are "best buds."
Here, Murphy is giving Jake a little of her "good help." However,
immediately after Jake is out of the water, he is fair game for tail and
ear biting or one of Murphy's famous head-butts.
Two photos of Jake and Murphy when they were babies... See Murphy with the remote? Perfect example of "like mother, like daughter." Dana is the remote queen in the house. The picture of Rudy was taken a few years ago in Leander. At 14, he is a little too old to go on our river outings with us.
