The date is set! Our wedding will take place on May 22, 1999 at 2:00pm at St. Sebastian's in Akron, with a reception to follow at the Loyal Oak VFW in Norton.
As of this writing, our honeymoon will be to Ocean City, Maryland, and our immediate plans are to reside in Akron.
We are currently setting up appointments with DJ's, photographers and florists, assembling the wedding party, and Donna has begun the all-important quest for a wedding gown!
August 5,1998 - As of now, we've decided on the DJ and photographer, the wedding party is almost confirmed, Donna has decided to wear her mother's wedding gown, and Greg's looking at tuxes and working on transportation for the honeymoon. More to come soon!
September 22 - Since the last entry, Greg has made his first successful visit here to New York on August 26th! He got to meet some of my family, as well as my best friend and her family...and we had a great time with another on-line couple we've befriended and finally met in person, at our county fair. I followed him back on the 31st, and stayed til the 12th. We had a great time as usual, doing such things as visiting Inventure Place (see our Virtual Sites section), meeting with a florist, trying out a few different restaurants...Looking forward to sharing our future adventures with our loyal Cafe patrons!
October 30 - Since last entry we've gotten info from several caterers, with several more expected soon...We actually found a wheelchair accessible limo service...and have graciously accepted the offer of videotaping and calligraphy as wedding gifts from Greg's sister Debbie and my friend Kim, respectively...special thanks to both of you!
December 16 - We've finalized our wedding party, got the toasting glasses, guestbook and ringbearer pillow, decided on a caterer....Shared our first Thanksgiving together with Greg's family, so I'll be going back to New York for Christmas. When I go back to Ohio in January, we're getting our very first pet, an adorable Shih Tzu puppy! She was born on Thanksgiving, and we've named her Tess. Hopefully we will have pictures of her scanned in the near future.
February 22 - My gown is finished, the material (peacock satin) has been ordered to have the bridesmaids dresses made, we've completed the pre-Cana class, and Greg's artwork came out great on our wedding invitations! Other than working on the ceremony itself, the guest list is nearly finalized, and every spare moment has been devoted to our wonderful puppy. Stay tuned to visit her very own website, now in the works!
April 14th
- Everything's just about set for the big day...hard to
believe it's only 38 days away! The bridesmaids' dresses
are beautiful, RSVPs are trickling in, we ordered our cake, got
the topper, sent our song list to the dj...Greg's mom is working
on the rehearsal dinner, and mine has been busy with decorations
and favors. Basically all that's left is attendants' gifts,
settling on a menu, picking out songs for the mass, and paying
everyone off! We've decided to postpone our honeymoon to
Ocean City, MD for a couple reasons, but we're just as
happy. Hope to have more pics scanned after the wedding!
