John Millender Sellers was born in 1812 in Tattnall county, son ofSamuel Sellers (Vol.III). He came with his parents to Appling county inhis youth, and lived there until he died. He was married twice. Hisfirst wife was Mary M. Mobley, born May 20, 1819 in Tattnall County,daughter of Solomon Mobley (Vol. I). They had seven children.
The first wife having died in 1855, Mr. Sellers married ElizabethCarter, born 1818 in Tattnall County, daughter of william Carter (Vol.II). They had six children
The second wife died Dec. 23, 1891. Mr. Sellers died about 1887,and he and his wives were buried in the Sellers Cemetery near Baxley. Heserved as Tax-collector of Appling County, 1834-1836.

Lemuel Sellers was born Nov. 23,1827, in Appling county,Georgia sonof Samuel and Mary Sellers (Vol.III). He was married on Jan, 18,1849, toElizabeth Hall. daughter of Seaborn Hall (Vol II). She was born Feb 20,1833, in Appling county,Georgia. Mr. and Mrs.Sellers had 14 children,five died young.
Mr. Sellers served as Representative from Appling county, 1871-72and again in 1880-81. He was a charter member of Holmesville Lodge, No.155, F.& A. M., in 1855, and served as lodge treasurer in 1859 and heldother lodge offices later. He died July 13, 1900, and his wife died May24, 1902. They were buried in the Sellars Graveyard near Melton'sChapel, Appling county.

Samuel Sellers , a son of Sanuel Sellars, R. S. (vol. III), was bornin Duplin County, N. C. about 1775, and came with his parents ofEffingham County, Georgia. in his boyhood. His wife was Mary bishopconcerning whom nothing is now known, Date and place of marriage notknown. Born to Samuel and Mary Sellars were seven children.
Samuel Sellars with his family, and also his brother, John moved toTattnall County soon after its creation. He was granted lands there andhis name is found in the Grand Jury Box for Tattnall County in 1810, Withthe opening up of the County of Appling to settlers, Samuel Sellars andhis brother John and their families moved across the Altamaha River intothe new county, and Samuel lived ther until his death about 1845.
