Hi, and Welcome to my Cupboard, this is a get to know me page and where I am from.

Who am I ? Of course, my name is Jan(nickname),I work in a small Hospital in a small town here in the state of Washington. I enjoy people and assisting them in their needs, maybe that's why I turned out to be Nurse. Other things I enjoy is gardening, crafts. I really enjoy Medical shows and x-files. As you will see in my other sites I am a animal lover, from Eagles to Cats and Birds of all kinds.

Washington State is a land of amazing diversity, with a state park system that offers opportunities for virtually every recreational interest. Climb mountains, explore deserts and rain forests, fish and boat in Puget Sound-one of the nation's largest inland waterways- or just relax amid the scenic beauty of Washington State. Washington Wildlife plays an integral part in our enjoyment. Viewing wild birds and animals can enhance this outdoor experience. By viewing them from a distance we can help to keep the wildlife population safe.

STATE SYMBOLS - This is just a few of the symbols, if you would like more just click on the state symbol,that is in white and at the start of this sentence, thanks.

State Bird- In 1928 school children selected the state bird. Goldfinch is a small delicate bird with yellow body and black wings.

State Tree- In 1947 the Western Hemlock was selected as our state tree because it was said to be " the backbone of this state forest industry".

State Fish- Steelhead trout is one of the most popular fish for recreational fishing, a major industry in Washington State.

State Fruit- In 1989 the apple was named as our state fruit. Washington is the nations top apple producing state.

Washington State is a great place for winter recreation, cross-country skiing, mountain climbing, snowshoeing, winter camping, dog sledding, snowmobiling, and of course just playing in the snow.

This is just a small sample of the great place I live.
