I got in a really creative mood one day and decided to get a bunch of cute stickers and markers and write little love notes to my boyfriend on index cards. (There were about 40 of them). Then I cut them into hearts and hid them in his drawers, wallet, under cushions, in his tape deck, etc... That way, he found them over a period of time. ~Anonymous
I pre-recorded a marriage proposal to my girlfriend @ a local radio station, and they played it the next day (her 40th B-day) and I was on one knee in front of her with a ring... she said YES! ~George Wacha
I got a room at the nicest hotel in town and set up the room earlier that day with champagne, my stereo with some CDs, and some special toys and a black teddy for later. Then right before he arrived, I ordered dinner for two. ~Trisha
Well, I will share with all of you the most romantic moment of my life. About a year ago I have met a great guy on line. We talked on the internet and on the phone for about 2 months before we met. And we have fallen in love even before we knew what we looked like. I guess this doesn't happen to everybody but it happened to me. Finally he came to my homeland and for the fist time we had a chance to meet. It was winter, snowing, about 7 am, almost nobody on the street; just the two of us. As I saw him I couldn't even walk to him but he did that instead. He held me, kissed me, looked at my eyes and told me he loved me from the bottom of his heart. At that moment I knew that he was the love of my life. And now I am sure of it because I have never felt this way before. ~San
I don't know if it was "romantic" per say, but it definitely took a lot of guts and was a loving gesture. I was supposed to go to college up in St. Paul (I'm from Wisconsin), and my boyfriend was going to go to Winona. A week before college was supposed to start, I decided that I couldn't be that far apart from him (2 1/2 hours), so I decided to stay in Wisconsin and go to college in LaCrosse (which is only 30 minutes away from him). To this day, he still thanks me and appreciates the commitment I made for our relationship. ~angela
My boyfriend travels a lot with his company and, as we're already in a long distance relationship it's difficult. But, he was coming to a job site about 3 1/2 hours from where I lived so, on the spur of the moment I packed a bag, got directions to the hotel from the hotel personnel and, drove there to surprise him! We had a wonderful time even though it was short and, he still thinks about it now! ~Dawne
For Valentine's Day, I decorated my dorm room (I didn't have a roommate). I put red tissue paper over the big light on the ceiling, I blew up 10 red balloons and put them all over the floor. Also, I put rose petals all over the furniture and floor. I did a scavenger hunt for him as well. So, he walked in the door of my room, the first clue hung from the ceiling right in front of his face. The clues were all on heart-shaped pink paper. The last clue led him to the empty closet where behind the closet doors was heart-shaped balloon, a gift bag with candies, silk heart boxers, and his favorite cologne. Next to the gift bag, sat a huge white gorilla holding a red heart. It was too cute! I also had our song playing in the background- "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain. He loved it! I thought he was going to cry! After he saw his scavenger hunt gifts, we made love on the bed covered with rose petals. Above the bed, on the wall, was a sign that I made on my computer that read, "Bed of Roses Reserved for Barry and Erin on February 14, 1999" It was a truly romantic night that we will both never forget! =) ~Erin

Well lets see, the most romantic thing I ever done was for my first love... I decided to give him a full day of pampering since he had worked so hard for 2 weeks with no day off.. I started off with breakfast in bed, which consisted of homemade pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream. A tall glass of fresh squeezed orange juice with slices of fruit on the side. Next I woke him up and kissed him good morning. He had the biggest smile on his face. I feed him his breakfast in bed and when i was done feeding him I told him it was time for his bath. I drew up a hot bubble bath for him and invited him into the bathroom. I slowly removed all his clothes as his eyes never left mine. As he slipped into the hot tub i softly kissed his lips and told him I loved him. I took the wash cloth and washed his whole body from head to toe. Not missing a spot !! As I was washing his back he said that if he was gonna take a bath he wasn't gonna do it alone and he pulled me in.. I was fully dressed and soaking wet.. We sat there kissing for a long time then i told him it was time to get out. I dried him off and helped him get dressed. He said he was in pure heaven. I told him it was up to him what he wanted to do since it was his day to relax and enjoy himself. He said he wanted to go for a walk. So we went to the place we first meet which was "the gorge ". We enjoyed a long stroll along the paths and walked for hours. After we were both tired we decided to drive to the countryside and find a quiet country restaurant. We ate dinner and talked and laughed as if the day was never gonna end. We headed towards home and drove slowly enjoying each other's company. Not wanting the day to end. We sat on the porch as the sunlight faded in the distance. He held me in his arms and we sat there as if there was no tomorrow. It was the best romantic thing i have ever done for someone. He said he would never forget that day...I know I will never forget it. ~tracy

After seven years of togetherness (we hate to be a part for longer than an hour) I had to take a business trip out of state. To keep him smiling and feeling loved, I hid notes all around the Apt. and car. I even unrolled the toilet paper and put a note there, then rolled it back up. Each note said something different and now two years later, he still has all my notes, he even carries some in his wallet. ~Anonymous
One day, for no special occasion, I made sandwiches and packed some snacks into my backpack. I, then, blindfolded my boyfriend and drove him up to a nearby mountain. The most romantic thing I've ever done was the Secret Admirer act. I found a book in a library filled with love poems by such authors as William Shakespeare and W.B. Yeats. I retyped the poems and had a friend of ours deliver them. The poems were rolled up and tied with red ribbons. Unfortunately, things didn't work out and she's now engaged to be married to someone else, but she and I are pretty good friends now. ~Ali
My husband had been having a particularly stressful time at work, and working late a lot. Consequently, we weren't having a lot of time together. So, that Friday, he came home to the house lit with nothing but a strategically-placed candle here and there. I had fixed his favorite meal, and after eating by candlelight, I drew him a hot bubble bath, undressed him, and helped him into the tub, where I bathed him. After toweling him dry, I led him to the bedroom and told him to lie on the bed, where he received a full-body, head-to-toe, front-and-back massage complete with scented massage lotion. He fell asleep, totally relaxed. No sex involved, but the conversation throughout the evening was wonderful, and we were both in the most romantic and loving of moods. It was definitely quality time together. :) ~Tammy

Well the week before I left to go to basic training, I planned a weekend for my ex. Well I bought two plane tickets to Lake Havsu, Arizona and rented a cabin. I had the owner of the cabin decorate the whole place with candles and stuff like that we spent the night first having dinner which I cooked and some wine and then i ran her a bath undressed her and gave her a bath in rose petals and candlelight. Afterwards, I carried her to the bed where I gave her a full body massage head to toe, the whole works again paying special attention to her. Then we went for a walk through the woods, where I had set a blanket and another bottle of wine and some cookies for her chocolate chips her favorite. We laid out under the stars gazing up at them for hours, while I held her close. Then we watched the sun rise over the lake. I gave her a soft kiss on the lips. We walked back to the cabin holding hands and we went and laid in bed for the rest of the weekend just cuddling under the blankets we never did anything, but it was the greatest weekend of my life and I would do it again if I could. ~Joseph Bradshaw
I was visiting my husband when he went away on a business trip and he didn't know I was coming so I got one of his buddies staying on the same floor as him to let me in to his room. When i went in I unscrewed the light bulbs, just enough so they wouldn't light. Then I lined the room with candles and had a picnic for two set up on the floor. When he came home he was so surprised, we had a lovely dinner, and great dessert!! ~Angela

Last year, for my fiance's 30th birthday, I compiled a grand collection of our most intimate e-mails, notes, letters, and photos. I spent MANY hours selecting, scanning, cutting, pasting, copying, arranging and sequencing each expression and symbol of our love. When finished, I searched exhaustively for a local book binder who was willing to bind ~one~ book. After 2 weeks of searching, I located a bindery about an hour away. I specified the binding color to be her favorite -- royal blue. On the cover and spine were emblazoned in gold lettering "Love For a Lifetime and Beyond". A special "About the Author" section include as complete and concise a biography as I have ever written as well as her current favorite photo of me. The day before her birthday, the bound book was completed and picked up. The exercise alone made me realize how much I love her. Then, on the night before her birthday, I went to her work and made the presentation of my gift. When she opened it, she was totally surprised and amazed. Within a few minutes, as she read passages and reminisced over photos, she began to cry. She said she had never received a gift with so much thought. As she passed the gift around to friends and customers, some cried and some said "You've made it tough on the rest of us". A gift filled with all the romance and love we had shared. ~John Stein
