Passing of the White Buffalo

I am not American Indian, but I know in my heart,
I am angry and sad to hear that White Buffallo did part.
The Sacred White Bullallo brought peace to our nations,
How could someone just kill her and end it's creation.

This White Bullallo was an inspiration to all!
Who had the right to put it down, watch it fall?
She tought the elders, prayers to use for the Strong One Above,
Tought the people prayers for Mother Earth, the one whom we love.

She told of what to wear during ceremonies and such,
To let her roam free and wild, was not asking that much.
She was on a journey, now they come and shoot her dead,
I pray for the one who did this, for his life, I would dread.

The man who wanted the beautifull buffallo woman for his wife,
She turned him into a pile of bones; she did take his life.
I hurt so much with my heart, it is broken, to hear of the news,
I pray to the Strong One Above, for I would not want to be in his shoes.

I pray for the hurt of all of our nations, to be comforted, give us all peace.
Lead us to the ways of the Indian, hate against each other must cease!
Show us the ways to a harmonious living,
Teach us all, about the ways of forgiving.

Who has the right to go and shoot an animal, any animal, unless for food!
They (the white man) have gone and taken the land from the American Indians.
Now man comes in and shoots the White Buffalo!
Not for food, but for FEAR. Fear of harming someone!
I am not putting the blame on all white men but
Who had these lands before the white man?
Now they go and take away their Sacred Calf! Their Hope!
The animals where there before the man!
I am ashamed of what my forefathers had done to the Indians.
I am truelly sorry from the deepest part of my heart.
I hang my head in deep prayer for all the Nations.
