St.Therese,
the Little Flower

St Therese didn't do great miracles
or died for her faith.
She is better known for her little ways.

She was born the youngest of 5 sisters.
They were not poor and were a loving family.
Her mother died when she was 4 yrs old.
Her older sisters tried their best
to be a mother to her.
They taught her about Jesus and love.
Her father treated her like a queen
and they were very close.

Although Theresa was prone to spoiled attacks
she seemed very spiritual at an early age.
At 15 she went to great pains
to enter the Camelite Convent.
Most ages to enter was 21.
3 of her older sisters had already entered.
She died at an early age of 24 of cancer.
Two of her sisters also died of cancer.

St. Theresa realized many people thought
they couldn't measure up to the saints.
So she wrote a book of sorts
telling everyone that you don't have to make
Big sacrafices to get into Heaven.
You could show your love
for Jesus in little ways
and every little way was a flower to him.
The church considers her a saint
because after she died there were miracles.
She also showed everyone how you can overcome
even a strong temper with day by day
giving it up to jesus.

These are sisters of Therese.
The only Mother of the Order is in the middle.
The other nuns are Therese's real sisters.
Therese is the girl to the back right.
