They were Roman soldier who were ordered to persecute Christians. It is said that some sort of miracle converted them and they left their regement to follow Christianity. In the end both were martyred. It would have been so easy for them to say ,"oh those poor Christians." and blame their leaders but say "We are only carrying out orders." But instead they stood up for justice and they stood for who was in their hearts, Jesus. |
