He was one of those appointed by the apostles to give help to the poor. He was preachingabout Jesus in the streets which angered the jews so they brought him before their councils. He was questioned about being a Christian. In their midsts, he had a great vision. He saw the heavens open up and Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. When they elders heard this, They threw him out where a mob stoned him to death. The former Saul ( later known as St. Paul) is said to have been there for his death.  |
