This bit of silliness is dedicated to New Georgers, Georgers waiting for their first hits, and Georgers whose "George Score" ranks them well below the top ten Users and no prospects for significant improvement in the immediate future.  I count myself among a group of fine people! Just tickle the ivories to hear the tune!

Sincere apologies to Garth Brooks, DeWayne Blackwell and Earl Bud Lee... but the tune and form of the original lyrics were just too good to pass up!

Now I'm not an old snoot, I even got boots!
I'm not one to often complain.
I want you to know... that I'm tryin to grow
and get my bills entered in the George database.
But imagine my surprise
when I checked the top ten,
and learned that I hadn't a score.
That's when I vowed to get even one day
and rack up a score and then wow!

(Chorus)
Well, I've got friends in low places
where the score just don't count
'cause the fun basis is awaitin' the day
when I can say, Now, I've got hits
but I'm still in the basement.
I think I'll slip on down to Lost Georgers.
Oh I've got friends... in low places.

For month after month now, I'm entering bills
my fingers, they're getting quite sore.
It's soon gonna snow,
and hey wouldn't you know,
I'm getting no closer to them way at the top.
I'm gonna get me another job,
and maybe that's when
I'll be able to get some more bucks.
I'll soon be on fire, and climbing higher and higher
and you just watch me exclaim!

(Repeat Chorus)
Well, I've got friends in low places
where the score just don't count
'cause the fun basis is awaitin' the day
when I can say,
Now, I've got hits
but I'm still in the basement.
I think I'll slip on down to Lost Georgers.
Oh I've got friends... in low places.

Repeat Chorus to fade out...

Friends in Low Places is from the album, No Fences performed by Garth Brooks; written by DeWayne Blackwell and Earl Bud Lee.

Blame it all on my roots; I showed up in boots,
and ruined your black tie affair.
The last one to know... the last one to show...
I was the last one you thought you'd see there.
And I saw the surprise, and the fear in your eyes
When I took the glass of champagne
And I toasted you
Said, honey, we may be through,
But you'll never hear me complain.

(Chorus)
'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay.
Now I'm not big on social graces,
I think I'll slip on down to the oasis.
Oh I've got friends... in low places.

Well, I guess I was wrong, I just don't belong.
But then, I've been there before.
Everything's all right.
I'll just say goodnight.
And I show myself to the door
Hey, I didn't mean to cause a big scene
Just give me an hour and then...
Well, I'll be as high as that ivory tower
That you're livin' in

(Repeat Chorus)
'Cause I've got friends in low places
Where the whiskey drowns
And the beer chases my blues away
And I'll be okay!
Now I'm not big on social graces,
I think I'll slip on down to the oasis.
Oh I've got friends in low places.

Repeat Chorus to fade out...

If you've twisted the lyrics to song to fit the foolishness of the Where's George site, please share your talents!
All I ask is that you also credit the performer who made the tune popular, the original songwriters and, if we can locate a source for a midi tune, credit will also be given to the sequencer when known.
The midi for Friends in Lowplaces was obtained from Mecca's Midi's & Lyrics Thanks!
