The funeral was held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 6 at Atmore Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore with Revs. Jesse Bailey and C.L. Lanford officiating. Burial was in the Godwin Cemetery with Atmore memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Barbara Arm Daniels Ward of Bratt; four daughters, Sheila Bolerjack of Satsuma, AL, Melody Lee of Byrneville, FL, Melinda Fountain of Lake City FL, and Lisa Warner of Huxford, AL; his step-mother, Mary Ward of Gonzalez, FL; two brothers, Billy R. Ward of Molino and Dewey R. Ward of Middleburg, FL.; two step-brothers, Joe Rigby of Cantonment and Eugene Rigby of McDavid; one sister, Bonnie Voncile Silcox of Crossville TN.; one step-sister, Gwyn Cook of Molino; six grandchildren.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Clara Ward, a brother, Grady Leon Ward, a sister, Eleanor Marie Ward and a step-sister, Diane Rigby Brake.

Pallbearers were Romeo Coleman, Fred Moore, Jim Bolerjack, Ellie Bailey, Robert Gillman and Herman Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers were Donnie Bass and Daniel Sandspree. Parents: Thomas Jackson (Jack) Ward and Clara Luticia Brunson.
