John Wareham Dead - Well Known Calumet Fraternity Man Dies Suddenly

The death of John Wareham of 3931 Temple St. Newton of Calumet and Hecla
Location, will be heard with genuine regret by all who knew him. It is a
severe blow to his family and associates and the trainmen of the Hecla
and Torch Lake Railroad will miss an honest and industrious comrade.

The immediate cause of death was a paralytic stroke on Tuesday noon, from
which he never rallied. He has been ill about a year. But as often as
it was possible for him to be out he took his position on his train as
brakeman.

He leaves a wife and 3 daughters to mourn his taking away. Besides his
wife and children he has 3 brothers William, Joseph, and Joshua and 2
sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Perry of the Franklin Mine Location and Mrs.
Penphrase of Hancock.

The deceased was a member of Charity Lodge, K of P and Calumet Tent
K.O.T.M. and also a member of the order of railway trainmen. The
arrangements for the funeral have not been completed at the time we go to
press, as an answer is awaited from his brother William who resides in
Altoona, PA.
