Laurel, May 24 ---(Special)--- The marriage of Miss Mary Jane Wheatley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Wheatley, and Mr. Oliver J. Cook, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver J. Cook, Sr., of Delmar, took place here yesterday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. D. Milbury.

The bride, who is a gradute of Laurel High School, was attended by her sister, Miss Ruth Wheatley.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Delmar High School and served three and a half years in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Ned Jones of Delmar was best man.

Mrs. Frank Wheatley of Laurel, Del., announces the marriage of her daughter, Ruth B., to Mr. Robert W. Knox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knox of this city. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edward C. Waller on Oct. 22, Mr. and Mrs. John Dorphley of this city were the attendants.

The bride, the daughter of the late Mr. Wheatley, is a graduate of the Laurel High School and Beacon College. She is a dental assistant to Dr. William E. Prettyman of Laurel.

Mr. Knox was graduated from the Alexis I. DuPont High School. He attended the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N. Y., and served two years in the Maritime Service. He is a electric engineering at the University of Delaware.
