William McMullen was clerk of Thyatira Presbyterian Church, Jackson County, Georgia in early 1828. He was chosen an elder in Nov. 1828. In April, 1839, William and Susannah had moved out of the church and certificates of membership were granted him and his wife. In Sept. 1840, William and "Susan" McMullen were given certificates of admission to join the church at Antioch in Chickasaw County, Mississippi.
