After John Benjamin [MEIGS] married Elijah's daughter Gabriella [18441 they moved from Santa Rosa Co. to Walton Co. - which since 1915 that part is now Okaloosa Co., they moved up near what is now Laurel Hill the community was called Almarante, and there is now a cemetery near there on hi-way 85 named Almarante Cemetery.
