Robert J. Riggin Sr., 71, of Laurel, a retired carpenter, was dead on arrival Wednesday, June 24, 1981, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was stricken ar home with a heart attack.

Surviving are two sons, Robert J. Riggin Jr., Delmar, and David L. Riggin, Milford; three daughters, Hilda Cook, Salisbury, Rita Ashby, Harrington, and Linda Riggin, Milford; six grandchildren and a sister, Ethel Wheatley, Laurel.

Funeral services and interment were private.
