[75] Mary Wolfe was an excellent cook. Unfortunatly, only one of her recipes has survived, hoska, the fruit and nut bread. I have heard about her cottage cheese pie, made with cottage cheese, suger, nutmeg, milk, and just a little bit of flour. That went into an uncooked pie shell, made out of bread dough. I have also heard about her vegetable soup. My fater said the only time we had ever seen her without an apron on was at her funeral. She cooked that much.
