There are several reasons why I like mei ling. the
first reason is because I totally support li+mei. I
know that that sound strange but they're such a
perfect couple!! well not perfect, but thats what
makes this pair interesting! to tell the truth, i
don't like sakura that much! she just seems kind of
annoying!
for some reason she too perfect ! I dont support s+s.
they make a cute couple, but the pairing just gets
boring after awhile. I want a couple that's not
perfect, as weird as it seems. imperfection makes the couple
original!oh yeah, I forgot to mention, mei ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!she kicks butt!!!!

My two sense on the girl:
At first Meiling can seem completive, spiteful, whinny, and jealous. With a second glance it's appears she still a thee above. But those are only some of her qualities. Meiling really a sweet and caring girl. As can be seen when she tries to help her cousin/fiancée/crush 'Li'. Of course to the untrained eye it might seem she just wants to keep Sakura-Chan away from her "man or should I say boy" but you can't blame the girl now can you? ^-^ Like Madison, Meiling might seem useless at times due to the fact she has no real magic powers. But like Madison, Meiling one of the the team. Magic or no magic. It's shown when Meiling fights the 'Fight' card when she has no chance of winning, help Sakura capture then 'Cloud' card, when she helped Li battle the 'Twin' card and when the Godzilla of a kitty-kat made by the big card decides Li going to be it's new toy. That cat could have easily eaten her you know! ^-^ All in Meiling is an important character to CCS and don't anyone dare argue with me! :9

First off, forget "Cardcaptors" Meilin. She's as far off base as the rest of
them.
Card Captor Sakura's Meiling (and yes, kids, it's a HUGE difference!) is
confident - and with reason, apparently, because Syaoran never corrects her.
She's also terribly sweet, and tries so hard to be what Syaoran wants.
When she leaves in episode 43, and returns in episode 60, she is perhaps the
most human character the show portrays. The force of her love, and the depth of
her friendship, is utterly overwhelming.
As far as I can see, the only people who could hate Li Meiling, are the people
who watch "Cardcaptors". And as far as I'm concerned, that's just a really bad
joke.

(How's _that_ for reasons!? By the way, I really like your website. Go Meiling!)

Please don't bash on the dubbed, because many of my friends and lots of other people are not so fortunate as you and I to have access to subtitles or the Japanese versions. For some reason, this 'I'm better than you because I don't watch the dubbed' is most rampant in CCS fans, and I'm not about to let it start growing here. I understand they change a lot of totally unneccisary things, but if fans are serious about knowing the truth, they can look it up on the internet somewhere. But I wholeheartedly agree, Mei is so forgiving and sweet to be able to give Shyoran up like that. We all love her for it.

ATTENTION PEOPLE, ATTENTION! Pikachan has brought to mind another very good point. All S+S fans should love Mei for what she unselfishly gave up to make their couple work! And she supports them! I saw the second movie, and it was so sappy, if you ever want to torture your brother, chain him down and make him watch the whole two-hour film--in Japanese. ^.^ Anyway, it nearly broke my heart to see Mei and Tomoyo plan ways to get S+S together. And knowing too, Meilin was just as in love with Li as Sakura was.
