My name is Lily & I am whats commonly referred to in Auckland as a "Westie".
A Westie ? A Westie is someone from West Auckland. Common stereotypes are crushed velvet dresses (for the girls), black jeans, black leather jackets/waistcoats etc & V8 cars ,though I'm not sure how the rest of Auckland thinks the whole of West Auckland can afford to own a V8..........
What the rest of Auckland doesn't mention is the bush, the beaches & the lack of people way out "West".
As I have only lately mastered this software this page will be under construction for a while.
