[NI4124] King Solomon joined the Kentucky Volunteers on 1 Nov 1847 and went toTexas to fight in the Mexican War. He was wounded at Vera Cruz,Mexico and was discharged on 15 Jan 1849. After returning home and finding his wife had died, King moved with his son, his mother, his two sisters Amanda CHANDLER Duncan and Sally Ann CHANDLER Duncan andtheir families to Van Buren Co., AR. They later moved to Wiley's Cove (now Leslie) Searcy Co., AR to be near his half brother Charles BOYD.

[NI17202] Original proprietor of Hartford, CT, 1639, "by courtesie of the town." His home lot in 1639-40 was near the site of the present Capitol. He served as an ensign in the Hartford contingent of volunteers in the Pequot War, and was granted 60 acres of land in 1671 by the General Court, for his good service , and 50 more in 1672. He was chosen chimney viewer in 1646; constable in 1648; juror in 1649; townsman in 1653, 1661, 1665; rate and list maker in 1669; again chimney viewer in 1670; list maker in 1671, 1672, 1673. He was freed from training Sept. 1672, being then 60 years of age. He and his wife Sarah were original members of the South Church, 12 Feb 1670. Estate inventory taken July and Aug 1683, showed an estate of £1024. In his will he named his wife, Sarah, "cousin" Elizabeth White and "sister" Katherine Clark.

[NI17182] Thomas Bunce owned covenant in Second Church, Hartford, 22 Feb 1670. Thomas and wife received Second Church, Hartford, 24 March 1677/78. Thomas was a Townsman 1679-80-84-89-93-98-1703. Owned a large estate in land in Hartford, in Rocky Hill, Wethersfield, etc. Will dated 25 Apr 1709; inventory 25 Apr 1712.
