[NI2678] James served in the War of 1812 as a private in Capt. Register's Tennessee Militia, col. Ellison Regiment commander. In 1826 he was living on Middle Creek in Sevier Co. with his wife, sons Anderson and Henry and 3 daughters. During the early 1840's, leaving his son Anderson at Middle Creek, he moved with the rest of his family to Franklin Co, MO. James received a land grant of 80 acres (#31431) in Sevier Co, TN.
[NI2891] Anderson had a land grant for 1000 acres in 1839 on the waters of Headly and Lones Branch. Seaton's high Top is named for him also. In November of 1849 he purchased 3 tracts of 1,218 acres also on Lone Branch from Asa Derrick. The land extended from Middle Creek to what is now known as the Jay Ell community. One document lists his name as Jacob Anderson Seaton.

[NI2915] According to the census, he migrated to Arkansas just prior to 1880. Some of his children are in Arkansas in 1900, then later moved to Oklahoma.

[NI2945] Phillip enlisted in Co. D, 154th Reg., Illinois Volunteers on 13 Feb 1865 at Jacksonville, IL. He was discharged 18 Sep 1865 at Nashville, TN. He lived in Dallas Co, MO from 1866 and moved to the Oklahoma Territory (Adair, OK) in 1897.
