Menu Planning

Okay, I am a Mom of many, so let's be real about
this menu! Keep it simple! Watercress or cucumber
sandwiches may sound glamorous, but the chances
of them eating them are zero to none! Don't
waste time or money on them.I have found they
really enjoy bread, butter, & jam sandwiches,
no crust please. Just cut them on the diagonal.
A few fancy cookies on a pretty plate. Fresh
strawberries* dipped in chocolate are always a big.
hit. But, not always possible. Then try a small
assortment of fresh fruit, just dip in lemon juice to keep from it from turning brown. A hint for you,
while there are several products on the market for
this, many people have a sensitivity to them! So be
very careful. Another thing to skip is fruit coctail,
chances are they won't eat that either, & to tell truth it really isn't classy enough for a Tea Party.
What about the "TEA" well, if you like you could
serve plain or flavored hot tea. But a nice fruit punch
makes a delightful substitute. Just make sure & serve it
in a REAL tea cup. Now you really need a cake. You can
purchase one or make one. Below is a pic of a cake cake in the shape of a teapot & cups, I made. Can't do that
you say? (pardon me, but that is silly, just a
bit of practice & patience. After all, you didn't
think you could create such a slendid table!) But not to worry I have a few ideas* that are simple
but will produce beautiful results.
