Dragon ball starts off as Goku (a kid) meets Bulma, Oonlong, Yamcha, Master Roshi, Chi-Chi, and the Ox King. Then, they gather the Dragon balls and battle Pilaf. After the Pilaf Series, Goku competes in a martial arts contest. At this series, Goku meets Krillin, Chaou, and Tenshin-han. After this series, Goku moves on to the Red Ribbon. Here, he meets Dr. Gero (later known as Android #20) creation, Android #8. However, Goku ends up be-friending the robot and beats the Red Ribbon. Last but not least, is the Piccolo Series. Here, Goku is a young adult who has to defend the world from Piccolo. After the famous battle, Piccolo is defeated. Rather than destroying the demon, Goku spares his life. (This battle is what led Dragon ball to success. It was in the Piccolo Series that the violence of Dragon ball Z began!)
