Today she looks so
beautiful
She takes my breath away,
I look at her in wonderment,
Not knowing what to say.
Sophisticated lady she,
Yet still a girl to me.
I can't believe today will be
My daughter's wedding day.
Today she looks so wonderful,
So confident and gay.
Yet through my tears I still can see
A little girl at play.
Soon she will leave this house that's been
Her home from birth to seventeen.
My child-bride daughter, she's a queen
On this, her wedding day.
Mrs
C. Roberts of Walsall U.K. wrote this
lovely poem which captures the feelings of
many a parent at a daughter's wedding.
