want you to know about an activity your troop's Mascot is planning which
will occur away from the regular meeting place and we need your
permission. Troop 513
will be sending Skip around the
country to visit our Sister Girl Scouts. Mode of
transportation: US Postal Service Priority
Mail with Delivery Confirmation. Time and place of
departure: Skip will leave Live Oak, Texas
on Monday 9-28-98 Time and place of return: Skip will return to the Troop in May
1999 Adults accompanying the Mascot: Leaders of Troops 2291, 435, 3054, 32, and
498. Other equipment and clothing: Skip's traveling with his Journal, Photo Album, Hat, GS
Blanket with pin and his Buddy Brownie. He is also traveling with a
picture guidebook and 3-D map of San
Antonio.

Our Mascot Desmond "Skip" Odie Howling has our
permission to participate with Girl Scout Troops in Any and all Troop Activities.
He is in good physical condition and has not had any serious illness or
operation since his last Health Examination. I understand that the
activity will be carried out in keeping with the Health and Safety
Practices and Standards of Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. Should any accident
or illness occur to him on the trip, I shall not hold the leader of the
troop, her agents or the Girl Scouts Council she is affiliated with
responsible and I authorize the leader to obtain services of a Medical
Doctor, if necessary. The troops have our permission to use photos or
videotapes in which our Mascot appears for publicity purpose. Yes
