They had at least eight children. Johann born 19 May 1844, Anna born 9 Nov 1847, Heinrich, Julius, Charles born 12 Sep 1860 and George. Johann, Anna, Heinrich, and Julius were born in Großenaspe, Holstein, Germany.  Julius is found in the 1855 Großenaspe census records but not in this country. Charles was born in Moline, Rock Island Co., IL and George was born in IL, probably Moline.  The Klahn family came to this country in the mid to late 1850's and settled in the Moline, Rock Island Co., IL area. Johann and Elizabeth eventually moved to Scott Co. IA and lived there until the death of Johann 30 Jul 1883. Elizabeth then went to live with her daughter, Anna and her husband Hans Tietgen in Moline, IL.
