He lived with his family in rural Scott Co., IA until the mid 1880's when they moved to Brule Co., SD.  Adolph married Mina Klahn in Rock Rapids, Lyon Co., IA on 11 Dec 1895. Mina was the oldest daughter of John and Mary (Clasen) Klahn and was born 19 Oct 1873 in Davenport, Scott Co., IA. </div> <bR> <DIV ALIGN="LEFT"></DIV> <div> <IMG SRC="0c723c10.jpg" border=0 width="291" height="193" ALIGN="BOTTOM" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0"></div> <bR> <div> Adolph and Mina or Minnie as she was known, had three children: Waldo Roland born 4 Aug 1898, Erwin Adolph born 29 Nov 1903 and Laura Leona born 25 Aug 1909.   All of the children were born in Cleveland Twp., Lyon Co., IA.  Adolph went to Chamberlain, Brule Co., SD to help his brother-in-law build a new barn and while there stepped on a nail putting it through his foot. It became infected so he came home. Adolph and Minnie were followers of the Christian Science Church so no doctor was called.  Adolph died of tetinus on 18 Nov 1926.  He's buried at Riverview Cemetery, Rock Rapids, Lyon Co., IA.  Minnie eventually moved to Kalispell, MT to live with her daughter and died 17 Mar 1966. She is buried next to her husband. </div> <bR> </td> </tr></table></body>
