We are a "no kill" shelter in Washington, Iowa, and have a number of animals that need good homes. The following is a list of the cats and dogs available for adoption at the Washington Humane Society in Washington, Iowa. This shelter has no set time limits for the animals; they have a home here until they're adopted. Unfortunately the shelter does not get much traffic, so many wonderful animals are in real need of homes. Please look this list over and if you have any questions or interest call the shelter, at 319-653-6713. Lisa Jackson is the new shelter director and she will be happy to answer any questions about the 18 dog/puppies and over 80 cats/kittens. Please consider giving one or two of these animals a home. Many have been more than patient in waiting for a forever home of their own.

The shelter does not get funds from the national Humane Society, so it's always in need of volunteers. Thanks for looking these animals over, and we hope that you'll be able to give one a loving home.

We've got pictures of 20 dogs and 50 cats here. They're small so that they can load fairly fast, but if you'd like better pictures, just email us and we'll get them out to you!
