Blast From The Past: featuring jessica mount
This section of my Web Page will take you to the past with a collection of photos from the far-off past all the way up to the present.
I chose Jessica Mount as the feature of this section because she was a major part of my past. She was my first "real best-friend", even though when you are younger you don't fully understand friendship. We had our ups and downs, but she will always remain my friend.
So, i hope you enjoy this section as it is a look into my past. These pictures hold thousands of memories......

A little about Jess: loves going for drives and riding Bill's motorcycle favorite time of day is anytime after 5pm gets terrible migraines rarely without backpack/purse and sunglasses constantly listening to music recently lusting after a perfect circle has nightmares pretty much every night favorite movie remains robin hood: prince of thieves loves to read always accessorizes in black desires a tshirt with "infidel" written on it very spiritual, but in unfocused ways believes, for example, in the power of trees but not in a specific dogma doesn't like red meat has been into the bdsm "scene" for around three years
What i remember about Jess: Jessica Morgan Coldwell will always be Jessica Anne Mount to me. It's so weird. I met Jess years ago in 1992. She was in my 6th grade class. For months we were just class-mates, then we discovered we lived so close to each other! I remember the first time she walked by my house. My sisters and i were throwing tiles from an old counter and stove at each other! hah!
Me and Jess were soooo into X-Men back then! Don't ask me why! I remember Jessica loved to read novels about Native Americans because of her heritage from her mother's side. She got me into reading novels, and i introduced Jess to the Fantasy World! I remember when Jess, Crissy, and I were walking around in the woods behind Target and i swear we saw some scary guy! Crissy and I picked up sticks and Jess grabbed a big ol' tire!! hahahaha. I also remember chasing my dog, Baby, around the neighborhood a lot!
Through seventh grade i became something of a brat and a snob and Jess and i weren't the best of friends. It was mostly my fault, but i didn't really like the people she hung out with either. We were young then, and we both made mistakes (i blame myself more). I think seventh grade hurt our trust and friendship with each other a lot, because our friendship never seemed the same as it was that first year.....
Eighth grade reunited Jessica and me. Her mom was my Science teacher, and i really got to know Ms. Mount a lot better! I loved that woman cause she was so kewl and funny. Eighth grade was also when i introduced her to my cousins Keith, Mike, Nikki, and David. Along with Troy, i had played Dungeons and Dragons with my cousins. We also played TSR's Marvel Super-Heroes. Jessica was joining the group now! Jess and Keith never got along, but i didn't help because i would go back and forth telling each of them the bad stuff they would say about each other. Gosh, i was such a brat back then!!! I regret that, it would have been much better of me if i had really tried to help them get along.....
This is also the period of time when Jess and i got into writing fantasy stories and creating comic book superheroes! I remember we would have each other as characters in our stories and would talk on the phone discussing stories. Jess was such an amazing writer. Her stuff had such a dark and morbid touch to it. I really enjoyed her writing. I remember when we had a substitute teacher and she wanted me to read a part of my story to the class, but i was embarrassed cause it was about Kim talking about how much she loved this guy named Tedd.....well, Jess read it for me and it was too funny!
Through High School Jess and i continued to be friends, and we played some transformers RPG Troy and Keith created (i was Lockheed the Blackbird and Jess was a Hovercraft). We also got into some Dark Future campaign Troy created for Marvel. It was really fun.
Jess even got a job at Kentucky Kingdom late in the summer of 1997 and we got to see each other at werk!
Then Jess got mixed up with this guy named Jimmy. I only met him a few times. He seemed OK to me, but Ms. Mount never liked the guy at all. At first, he moved in with Jess and her mom, but then Jess moved away with him to Colorado. Late 1997 was when Jess went away. I haven't seen her since......
A little over a year later, Jess IMed me on AOL and i was in touch with her again, and we caught up with each other's lives and talked and talked. I got to tell her how sorry i was for being the brat i was sometimes.... i had missed Jess so much; i missed the friendship we had in 6th grade when we were 11 and 12.....
A couple months later, Jess disappeared again. I don't know the details too well, but i later found Jess' AWESOME AWESOME website and discovered she had been "reborn and risen from the ashes" to start a new happy life with two people she loves very much.....
Jess had this to say about herself:
"I have a webpage that will tell you mostly anything you could want to know about me. I live in Dacula, Georgia with my two significant others, and we run a webhosting company. When I got online, I learned to express myself through HTML and have been doing both personal and professional web design ever since. I went through a dry spell with my drawing and writing, but have been working on getting back into the swing of things lately.
I actually owe a large portion of my current happiness to Joey, who signed me up with Netcom is 1996, and showed me IRC... which is where, three years later, I would meet the people I chose to spend the rest of my life with."
What Jess Remembers about me:
"I remember when my mom and I went over to his house to buy my first computer from his step-dad, and we spun around on the floor, sliding salt shakers back and forth to each other, listening to, "Time After Time," and "The Look."
I remember playing X-Men in his pool when it was only about 2 ft. full and
pretending we were in the sewers.
I remember letting him sit on my sleeping bag at the lock-in at school while
we watched movies.
I remember him getting S'Mores in his hair.
I remember dropping my books on his head in 6th grade.
I remember him choking on Fruity Pebbles and spitting them all over the side
of his house.
I remember us pushing each other up and down the road in office chairs.
I remember playing SimCity 2000 and Wing Commander II at his house.
I remember his sisters trying to do my hair and put make-up on me.
I remember him putting a pot on his head, wearing one of his mom's dresses, and running around in the house.
I remember his dreadful attempt at straightening and bleaching his hair with peroxide.
I remember one of his haircuts, and how we all said he looked like Data from Star Trek: The Next Generation.
I remember going to Target while wearing our vacation bible school clothes.
I remember watching the Transformers movie with him and rewinding a certain part over and over and laughing.
I remember rewinding the part on Home Improvement when Jill says, "It doesn't BOTHER me," and JTT's dance.
I remember talking on the phone for hours, making fun of the same people on tv.
I remember the first stories we wrote.
I remember Mike Mayo ('nuff said).
I remember when we played D&D and his character of Laura Dern kept falling in the grass.
I remember the rumor mills.
I remember his sister carrying a stick, which broke, and she said, "Oh! I broke a nail!"
I remember when he and some of his friends showed up at my house one night, and we went walking to get cheap tacos with the money we scrounged out of our pockets.
I remember playing Warcraft II at his cousin's house.
I remember the Transformers campaign, and going with Troy to the library to find stats on a Blackbird.
I remember Paul trying to have sex with the Rogue card.
I remember the ice story we tried to write together. We wanted to be co-authors like Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, who were our idols."
UPDATE: 06-16-00/06-17-00: Jess was back in Louisville to set up a new computer for her mother, Ms. Mount. I was werking at subway Friday night when Jess came in to order a sandwich! It was so weird! I was glad to see her. Plus, i went outside to see her mom who was waiting in her car. I wish i had got to talk with them some more, and catch up on times gone by, but we weren't able to. . . .
