SewMommy's Homekeeping Tips
"She looks well to the ways of her household..." Proverbs 31:27
*Maintenance is the key to an orderly home.
*A task is not over until it is cleaned up. (playing, bathing, dressing, cooking, etc.)
*Complete one room before moving to another. Attack a home that is a disaster by tidying one room at a time.
*Before attempting to reorganzie or deep clean, you must first tidy the home.
*If you have a lot of cleaning that morning, dress the part with shorts or sweat pants. Also if you have a lot of cooking to do, wear an apron.
* You are your own boss, you must treat housework as a job you take pride (or invest) in. Be disciplined. Try to be two steps ahead, instead of five steps behind.
*Have set tasks on set days and distribute them throughout the week. For example: Laundry (MWF), Vacuum (T, TH, S), Sinks (T), Toilets (TH), Bathtubs (F), Floors (W), etc.
