Ellysha

Hi.

I'm Ellysha and I'm six years old. I'm in my final year of Preschool (Kindergarten), so next year I will join my sister Julia in a regular school.

My kindergarten is not far from my house, but it's not near enough to walk. Mrs Yong picks me and couple of other kids up in the morning, and she drives us to our kindergarten.

The school that my sister Julia goes to is much nearer to our house than my kindergarten is. Actually, it's just down the street. So my sister walks to school every day. Except Saturdays and Sundays, of course.

I like reading, too, just like my sister. But I'm not as good a reader as she is. Both my sister and I receive books and magazines to read every month. They come in the mail, addressed to each of us separately. There are always new stories to read and new things to try out. Sometimes I can't wait for my books and magazines to come.

I enjoy music and dancing. Sometimes when I see dancers with flowing gowns, I wish I could dress up and dance like them. Mommy thinks maybe I should take up ballet. I don't know. I'll wait and see what Daddy thinks.

I have a favorite phrase right now, which I use whenever my sister and I race for something. The phrase is: "The last one to blah-blah-blah is a rotten mango". I don't know why I like the phrase so much. Maybe because "rotten mango" doesn't sound as awful as "rotten egg", which sis says is rude. Is it rude? I don't know.

Here's a little joke my sister told me - an elephant should really put on some clothes. All it's got on are its trunks! Ha, ha.

Anyway, I would like to write to other kids my age. If you want to write to me, please do so. I don't have an email address, but you can always write c/o my sister.

Thanks for visiting. See ya.
