This is my husband Hamed. He works for a large multinational oil company, and is based a thousand miles away from home. Well, I don't know exactly how far away in terms of distance, but it's 2 hours and thirty-five minutes away by air. He gets to come back at least once a month on business, during which time he will spend, oh, maybe 4 days or so, with me and the kids.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary last October. Ten years! Where did the time go? Before you know it, I'll be a mother-in-law, and, goodness me, a grandmother after that. A grandmother! Heavens - I can't imagine ever being one some day. Hamed was born under the sign of Pisces, just like Ellysha. But there is little else that Hamed and Ellysha have in common other than the Zodiac sign. In fact, Hamed shares more traits with Julia than with Ellysha. Okay, okay ... there's one thing that all three have in common that really bugs me - they are all slow eaters. Hamed's passion in life (other than us, his family) is probably music. I believe he is an accomplished guitarist - I don't really know, I only think this is so from watching him play and gauging the response of people who watch and listen to him. He has played in a lot of bands, from his high school days, through to his college days and on to his working career. Nowadays though, he mostly sits in front of his computer with his Roland MIDI keyboard, his Cakewalk sequencing software, and his Fender Stratocaster, and plays by himself accompanied by his self-sequenced MIDI music. He sometimes partakes in the occassional jam session with other musicians. (The preceding words in this paragraph are not my own - I got my husband to describe what he does to pass the time away while he's a thousand miles from home). He writes his own songs, and has a number of compositions already recorded by local artistes (which was way before we were married, when he still had long hair and the time to rub shoulders with record executives and studio musicians).
