Our Memory Wall

My favorite end-of-the-year project is one that I've done each year: once for kindergarten, twice for first grade, and twice for second grade.

I simply place ALL of the photos I've taken all year on a table. The students choose a photo, and write a caption for it. For the second grade level, students must write at least three sentences, in paragraph form. Correctly written captions "earn" the student a copy of the photograph, after it has been displayed in the hallway for three days.

This year's photos:

Bailey writes about our school building.

Becky writes about the Nativity play.

Melissa shares a Field Day memory.

Following the May Day Mass, Katie writes about our picnic.

Nichole shares another photo from the picnic.

Joe tells about one of our favorite games.

Amanda and Alex tell about the tug-o-war on Field Day.

Joseph gives a report of the Field Day tire race.
