2. Objective: Students will practice a variety of reading skills, including recognizing phonemic elements, categorizing, and following directions.

3. Materials required: Colored paper, copy machine, "Enjoy" gameboard masters, laminator.

4. Resources: This was copied directly from Shortcuts for Teaching Phonics, by Flora Joy. (GA 1990)

5. Teacher Directions: Use the directions on the following page to play assorted bingo-style games. Students may use wipe-off markers to mark their bingo boards, if they are laminated. Another option is to simply copy several sets of the boards and play with students marking their answers in crayon. No cleanup! Play the first game coloring in yellow. The second game coloring in orange (right over the yellow when necessary) and the third game in brown. A great time-saver!
