3. Materials required: Tagboard cards with pairs of synonyms or antonyms, folded, with answer inside. Gameboard made from colored paper and mini stickers. Tokens for moving.

4. Resources: Word cards copied directly from

5. Teacher Directions: Copy the word pairs onto tagboard. Fold. Write the anwer in the middle. Copy the gameboard from the book.

6. Student Directions: Place both tokens on Start. The first player chooses a card. Read the words. Decide if they are synonyms or antonyms. Tell your partner. Unfold the card and see if you are correct. If you correctly identified synonyms, move forward 2 spaces. If you correctly identified antonyms, move forward 3 spaces. First person to get through the jungle wins.
