2. Objective: Students will read story elements and place them in order.
3. Materials required: Story copied from: Shortcuts for Teaching Reading Comprehension, by Flora Joy.

5. Teacher Directions: Cut out the individual story cards. Glue to cardstock. Laminate. Place velcro on the back.
6. Student Directions: Here is a story about a lost rabbit. Read each piece carefully, and see if you can put the story pieces in order. Use the velcro board.

8. Teacher notes: Put a code on the back of each piece, so that you can check it easily. I like to use the beginning initial to a quoation! (For example, card one has the word "This" to remind me which quotation I am using. The following cards have i,t,d,th,l,h,m,le,u,r for "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice...." (note two letters are used if an initial letter is repeated...)
