My friend, Hank, along with Peggy Sue and Becky at the top of a 5000 ft.
mountain--an arduous 15 mile hike. What a beautiful day!
Ah! Those great back-packing adventures, along the Rogue River in Oregon! Our daughter was 3 when we started her out hiking with us. As you can see, my ladies made quite a fashion statement on the trails!
Around 1986 we won a raffle, allowing us two weeks at a remote--REAL remote--cabin, on Casper Mountain, near Casper, Wyoming. The cabin was at 9500 feet elevation. All of the humans had a bit of trouble with the high altitude. Not Naomi, old leather-lungs, who would bound across the meadows with great gusto
!

Casper Wyoming, elevation over 9500 ft. The wildflowers were incredible,
this area was only accessible with a narrow-gauge 4x4 such as a CJ-5
jeep--and then another two mile hike into the cabin. We'll never for get the
wildflowers, truly a beautiful spot.

Around 1982 we took a trip to Casper, Wyoming, where we stayed in a remote
cabin at the 9000 ft. level. It was a magnificent spring, wildflowers
everywhere. I will always remember Naomi frolicking through those meadows!

Just before the great tick invasion.
January '99 at Faraway, Ted fixes the dock as the whole crew looks on in anticipation of more wet fun!
Taken in 1996 in the Columbia Gorge, in Washington state. My friend Hank & I hiked into this waterfall, and because of the floods of '96 we could not cross this creek. The waterfall was literally shaking the ground we stood on, and it sounded like thunder! It caused both Becky and Peggy Sue to howl--! Another 15 mile day, in the rain!
Peggy Sue looks out on her kingdom, from the top of the Mt. in Trapper Creek Wilderness area, Columbia Gorge, WA.
My wife, Michael took this one--she's a "Treehugger"! The subject was really the tree--not Becky & I!!
A picture of Becky--one of my favorites, taken in '95 below the house. Do these dogs love snow? Does a bird have hard lips? You bet!
On one of the rare hot days we get here in the NW--Peggy Sue cools off in Siouxon Creek! Note the very satisfied expression!
Taken in '95 this shows Becky doing what she likes best--wading or swimming in ice cold water. This was taken in February, the temperature in the low 30s--doesn't bother her! Brrrr!
Gonna go warm up, thanks for stoppin' by.
