Copper Beech House has a wide range of wineries on its doorstep. The beautiful Marlborough Sounds with the scenic drive from Blenheim to Havelock then to Picton via the Queen Charlotte Sounds. Or travel to the Nelson lakes, go skiing at the Rainbow Ski Field, visit the Riverlands Cob Cottage a restored cottage with period furnishings built in 1860. Brayshaw Museum Park shows you what Blenheim may have looked like 110 years ago, with recreated buildings, farm implements, model boats and miniature railway.
Blenheim was originally called Beaver Town, but changed to its present name in 1859. The province was named after the Duke of Marlborough who led the British troops to victory over the French at Blenheim in Germany.
Blenheim is linked by railway with Picton and Christchurch. There are also scheduled air services through Woodbourne Airfield.
