The Mekong River in Lao with river craft.
This was on a 2 day boat trip from Houay Xai to Luang Prabang, Lao.
While other travellers had passage on a regular ferry, we had our own boat,
although it was the same as the others in the photo.
This meant that we were not crowded and could stop when we wanted, like for a swim.
I like to swim in unusual places when I travel. I've swum in the Mekong here as well
as in the delta in Viet Nam. People think I'm mad!
